Super Sunday for our sponsored players ends in a dramatic draw!

2 April 2024

It was a thrilling deadlock between Derby County Women and Nottingham Forest Women at Pride Park this Easter Sunday, yet here at NG Chartered Surveyors, we were jubilant in our celebrations!

Our very own Associate Director Charlotte Steggles, one of the Ewes star players this year is backed by sponsorship from our NG Block Management division while Nottingham Forest Women’s standout striker Charlotte Greengrass, is proudly supported by NG Chartered Surveyors!! With both Charlottes representing NG – the property people, we couldn’t really lose!!

The exciting local Derby was played out in front of a bumper crowd of nearly 2,500 fans and with both Charlotte’s in the thick of the action. It was a hugely entertaining match for all, with this Women’s National League game concluding in an engaging 1-1 draw.

Charlotte Steggles said: “This was a big game for me after joining the Ewes from Forest Women in the close season. I’ve some great friends at Forest and despite wanting a Derby County win, a draw was a fair result! It was brilliant to be on the same pitch as my friend and opposition Charlotte G again!

“It makes me so proud to work for a company that puts its money where its mouth is and supports the women’s game in the East Midlands. These sponsorships make such a difference to womens football and I know how incredibly grateful both teams are”

Charlotte Greengrass of Forest Women added: “NG is such a brilliant and supportive sponsor! Richard and everyone at NG have always made their support known and I genuinely appreciate it so much.

“All the money is directly invested into everything we do as a team. It is a huge commitment for us as players to juggle our careers and other commitments with football so every ounce of support we receive from sponsorship is super beneficial and we never take it for granted.”

Richard Sutton, Managing Director at NG Chartered Surveyors, added: “NG is known for supporting young talent – both in the office and on the pitch and we’re delighted to be able to support both Charlottes in their footballing careers!  The result was a very amicable way to end Easter Sunday!”
