NG extends community support programme with Garibaldi School

Commercial property specialists NG Chartered Surveyors are investing in the future of the industry by extending their support to the next generation and continuing their advisory role to the Garibaldi School in Mansfield.

The move follows on from NG teaming up with the school in 2021, through The Careers & Enterprise Company. Since then, NG director has been in regular contact with Garibaldi‘s Careers Lead, Albany Bleasdale, and Julia Matthews from the Futures Group.

Over the last 12 months, NG has welcomed students from the school into its office, and took them on site, showing them the skills of surveying.

NG has also assisted Albany with meeting key points in the school’s Career Plan, while supporting
one student by providing him with some additional equipment.

NG has also provided useful business contacts to the school to assist with its future development

Jude Weston, director at NG, said: “We have had some of their students with us in April 2022 for a work experience day, and I have regular contact with their Careers Lead, and Julia Matthews from the Futures Group.

“In addition, myself and associate director at NG, Charlotte Steggles, are attending the school in April to deliver a training taster programme to their Year 11s. We’re also looking forward to welcoming students to our office once again in May.

“Teaming up with the Garibaldi School in Mansfield has been amazing and we all think it’s so vitally important to give something back to the community. NG’s aim is to provide the students with some insight into the Surveying profession, and show them that if you work hard, the sky’s the limit.”
