NG teams up with Every Cloud charity again to support rowing challenge

29 June 2023

NG Chartered Surveyors are throwing their weight behind the Every Cloud charity once again – this time supporting Ali Adams and her team who are completing a 1,100 metre rowing challenge down the River Trent.

The challenge is part of the Burton Regatta, which takes place on the weekend of 8th and 9th July.

Following her breast cancer diagnosis back in May 2020 Ali was given a much-needed boost by Every Cloud who helped fund a holiday away with her children, which provided some essential respite- and an opportunity to create some wonderful memories.

Every Cloud was founded in 2014 by NG Director Jude Weston and Tracey Bricknell. Now, alongside the amazing team of six additional ladies, the team help organise events and network with their contacts with a view to raising awareness of the disease and vital funds to provide treats to people receiving treatment for breast cancer, through Derby Royal and Burton Hospitals.

After Ali’s experience she is now giving something back to the charity. Alongside her team of ladies, who have also all experienced breast cancer, they are completing the rowing challenge, supporting Every Cloud by pledging funds from the sponsorship raised. The ladies have trained in rain, wind and shine since January to be able to complete the challenge.

They have been supported by Trent Rowing Club who have provided the much needed equipment and expertise, to allow them to safely tackle this challenge.

NG are one of the sponsors of the team. Director Jude Weston said: “We are thrilled to be able to support Ali and the team in their inspiring challenge, we know how hard they have worked to be able to improve their skill and fitness levels to be able to complete the race and we look forward to seeing all their efforts pay off.”

Every Cloud will be at the Burton Regatta supporting the team and providing further advice on ways they can help people experiencing the disease.
