Another success in the North-West - NG sell Oldham car showroom site
NG Chartered Surveyors, the Property People, have completed the sale of a prominent vehicle showroom and workshop complex in the Lancashire town of Oldham on an entirely unconditional basis.
The site was owned by Motus Holdings (UK) Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of South Africa’s largest Automotive group – The Motus Corporation, while the buildings, totalling 20,078 sq ft across a 1.73 acre site, were occupied as a Seat dealership by Motus Group (UK)’s Pentagon Motor Group.
Over 100 enquiries were received and, after going to best bids, the property sold on an unconditional basis for a figure considerably higher than the guide price of £975,000.
The deal was completed by our Managing Director Richard Sutton and Director Charlotte Steggles.
Richard said: “The sale included four detached buildings including two showrooms, ancillary offices, workshop, valeting and MOT bays, together with large vehicle display areas and forecourt parking.
“The interest in this building was staggering; we went from going to market to instructing solicitors on the sale of the site in less than six weeks.”
“The Park Road site has a complex title split over four long leasehold interests, this didn’t put off potential buyers who could see the long term benefits in the location”
Charlotte added: “Although our heartland has and continues to be the East Midlands, we’ve been busy in the North-West . It just goes to show that prime sites will always sell with the right market knowledge behind the marketing process. A fantastic result for all parties.”
