Every Cloud recognised for vital work at BBC Radio Derby Make a Difference Awards

Derbyshire breast cancer charity Every Cloud has been recognised for the vital work it carries out by a prestigious BBC awards programme.

Every Cloud, which has raised over £30,000 to help both women and men going through breast cancer treatment, has been shortlisted as a finalist in the Fundraiser Award category for BBC Radio Derby’s Make a Difference Awards.

A spokesperson for BBC Radio Derby said: “We had many many nominations across the eight categories which included some beautiful words about Every Cloud’s dedication and effort which is obviously highly valued by many. I know the judges were really impressed with the work that the charity has been doing, so, congratulations.

BBC Radio Derby is hosting a special afternoon tea and awards ceremony at Derby County Football Club, Pride Park on the afternoon of Sunday September 15.

Our director and co-founder of Every Cloud, Jude Weston, said: “To be recognised for the work we’ve done over the past few years is very satisfying, and it makes us even more determined in our pursuit of supporting those who are living with breast cancer.

“Our aim is to provide treats for those people affected by breast cancer so they can have something nice to look forward to with their family, friends or maybe just something for themselves to enjoy.”

Jude added: “Personally, I’d like to thank my friends and colleagues at NG Chartered Surveyors who back Every Cloud at every opportunity, as well as everyone who has donated, supported and helped the charity in any way.

“As Every Cloud celebrates its 10th anniversary, this is a great way of being recognised at such a special time. We’re looking forward to Sunday – and to many more years of helping those with breast cancer with the backing of both our valued individual and business supporters.”
