NG Chartered Surveyors appointed to oversee EMCCA office fit out in Chesterfield
NG Chartered Surveyors has been appointed by the East Midlands Combined County Authority (EMCCA) to oversee the fit out of its new town centre office in Chesterfield as the authority prepares to relocate its growing team.
EMCCA is moving from its current base at the Northern Gateway Enterprise Centre to a refurbished 27,000 sq ft office space within Vicar Lane Shopping Centre, located on the corner of Steeplegate and Church Lane.
The move comes as the authority continues to expand its operations and responsibilities across the region following its formation two years ago.
NG Chartered Surveyors’ building consultancy team has been appointed to oversee the fit out of the new office accommodation, which will initially see EMCCA occupy the ground floor, with the first floor to follow once works are completed.
The unit was previously occupied by Argos until 2018 and most recently served as a temporary Jobcentre between 2021 and 2023.
The space has been let by Sheet Anchor Evolve, part of M Core, while the fit out works are being delivered by We Are Spaces.
Paul Rogers, director at NG Chartered Surveyors, said: “We are delighted to have been appointed by EMCCA to oversee the fit out of its new Chesterfield office. This is a significant project for the town centre and for the wider region, creating a modern and collaborative workspace that supports EMCCA’s continued growth and long-term ambitions.
“It is particularly rewarding for our building consultancy team to be involved in a project that will bring renewed activity to a prominent town centre location while supporting the delivery of important regional investment and regeneration initiatives.”
