School students set to fly high after teaming up with NG

Commercial property experts NG Chartered Surveyors are investing in the future of the industry by becoming an adviser to the Garibaldi School in Mansfield.

The move follows on from NG teaming up with the school last year, through The Careers & Enterprise Company.

Now, NG is working with the careers team to support them by providing a vital link with the local business community, ensuring it can help whenever possible with their students.

NG recently invited four Year 10 students to its office to show them the different Surveying disciplines it carries out. The students had a one-on-one experience with a Director, who showed them active instructions they are dealing with.

NG’s Charlotte Steggles also demonstrated her flying skills by getting a drone up in the air and showing the students how this assists the company’s day to day work.

Director Jude Weston said: “We were thrilled by the students’ enthusiasm, interest and maturity, and we are really looking forward to continuing to help the school with their great work.”

Richard Sutton, managing director, added: “At NG we all agree it is very important to give something back to the local community. Teaming up with the Garibaldi School in Mansfield has been amazing and we thoroughly enjoyed having the students here with us for the day. We hope they took away some insight into the Surveying profession, and hope we helped show them if you work hard, the sky’s the limit.”
