NG Chartered Surveyors helps The Dog Barbers sniff out new West Bridgford premises

A new premium dog grooming and spa salon is set to open in the heart of West Bridgford after NG Chartered Surveyors successfully brokered a letting agreement on behalf of a private landlord client at 30 Gordon Road.

The Dog Barbers, founded by experienced dog groomers Nikii Malone and Rowena Smith, will bring a range of professional grooming, wellbeing and spa services to the area, offering a unique concept focused on canine comfort and care.

The new business is the result of two established dog grooming professionals joining forces to create a dedicated salon offering full dog grooms, puppy starter grooms, tidy-up trims, de-shedding treatments, ultrasonic teeth cleaning and specialist spa services. The salon will also feature luxury ozone spa treatments, believed to be among the first of their kind available in Nottingham.

Alongside delivering premium grooming services, The Dog Barbers is committed to operating sustainably through initiatives including dog hair recycling, the use of a hydro bath to reduce water consumption, and carefully selected natural and vegan grooming products designed to support skin and coat health.

West Bridgford was chosen as the location for the new venture because of its strong community spirit, thriving independent business scene and large population of dog owners.

Nikii Malone, co-founder of The Dog Barbers, said: “Opening The Dog Barbers is a huge milestone for us. It allows us to expand our services, invest in specialist spa equipment and create a dedicated space designed entirely around the comfort and wellbeing of dogs.

“For Rowena, it marks an exciting opportunity to expand her existing business and bring her experience to an area she has always loved. For me, it’s the fulfilment of a long-held ambition. After many years grooming dogs and running my own business from within other salons, opening a salon of my own is something I’ve worked towards for a long time.
